How to exclude directory or file from Resident Shield

 To exclude a directory or file from Resident Shield scanning, proceed as follows:

1. Open the AVG Program.
2. On the Tools menu, click "Advanced settings."
3. In the left tree menu, click Anti-Virus -> Resident Shield -> Excluded items.
4. Click Add Path or Add file, and then choose the directory or file to be excluded.
5. Confirm by clicking OK.
